Kyle Day is a Psychotherapist and a Clinical Social Worker.  He graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in the United States in 1986.  In addition, he accomplished his Master’s Degree with honours at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.   Kyle worked within the Family Service Association of Greater Tampa Bay focusing on the Systemic Family Therapy Model.  Kyle  also holds a diploma from Royal Holloway University, London, in Childcare.

 

For almost three decades, Kyle has worked within the field of humanistic and therapeutic services.  Kyle has worked extensively with addictions including Eating Disorders and Chemical Dependency since 1987.   He was the founder of AWAKE drug prevention programme and worked with Glenbeigh Addictions Hospital in Tampa and Orlando, Florida in the United States of America.  Kyle moved to the United Kingdom in 2003 and is also a British Citizen.

 

From 2004 to 2009, Kyle worked with a Local Authority agency as a Manager and providing therapy to a number of Children and Families who were at risk of breakdown.   He has also served as a tutor, lecturer, and student assessor for a number of Universities including the Tavistock Centre.

 

Kyle joined CNWL in London in 2009,  where he has worked with young people and their families dealing with anxiety and panic issues, bereavement, gender and sexuality issues and other complexities of adolescence.

 

Kyle has worked within a number of schools as a consultant and first hand providing Multi Family Groups, where he devised the training and implementation of these groups within their respective communities.   He worked for four years in a London school for Children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties rated outstanding by Ofsted, as Director of Clinical Services.

 

Kyle is interested in working with individuals, children, families, groups, chosen families and within the LGBT population.  Kyle is also an accredited Clinical Supervisor for individuals and groups.

He is a member of the following Organisations:

  • American Psychotherapy Association Lifetime Member with Diplomat Status.
