Aurélie is a British Psychoanalytic Council (BCP) accredited psychodynamic psychotherapist for children, adolescents, young people and families. She is also registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She is a member of the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists (TSP).
She graduated with a Masters in Economy and Finance from La Sorbonne University in Paris, and went on to complete a postgraduate diploma in Infant Observation and Observational Studies and a clinical Masters in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy for Children, Adolescents and Families. Further studies were at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Clinic in London, the country's leading NHS mental health training hospital, accredited by the University of East London (UEL).
Aurélie has worked across a variety of clinical settings, including the NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) at the Tavistock Clinic, various schools and the Monroe Family Court Assessment Centre. She is currently an Honorary Psychotherapist in the Fostering, Adoption and Kinship Care team (FAKCT) within the Child and Family Department at the Tavistock Clinic.
She works with children, young people, families offering both short and long term therapy in private practice online, in Chiswick W4 and home visit.
Aurélie has extensive experience working individually with children and adolescents from diverse cultural backgrounds. Having moved from France to London more than 25 years ago, she is able to work with equal effectiveness either in English or French.
Her work with children, adolescents and their families, covers a wide range of issues. Central to her practice is the relationship between the psychotherapist and client, which provides a vehicle for re-experiencing past relationships, conflicts, feelings and beliefs, in a setting where these can be thought about and understood.
