Dr Jade Smith is a Clinical Psychologist who is experienced in working with young people, families and adults. She provides personalised psychological assessment and intervention for emotional, social and behavioural needs as well as anxiety, mood, interpersonal challenges and physical health symptoms.

Jade is experienced working with young people with neurodevelopmental and intellectual conditions, helping them or their families to build resilience, manage difficulties and promote positive coping. She is experienced in adapting therapeutic models to meet the needs of these young people.

 

She is also able to provide assessment and support around psychological coping with chronic health conditions including diabetes, neurological conditions and medically unexplained symptoms.

She is flexible in her approach, using psychological formulation to understand the unique experience of the client. She uses skills in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, behavioural interventions, systemic, family and narrative models, and draws upon mindfulness-based techniques.

Jade is also available for supervision, consultation, teaching and training.
